Dietary Consultation

Since its inception in 2001, ProPartners has maintained a staff of Registered Dietitians to educate and encourage our patients to improve their eating habits. Our dietitians are available for one-on-one consultations or for consultations with couples and are experienced in helping patients to manage high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, and a wide variety of other dietary issues. In addition, they work closely with our fitness trainers in helping many patients with their weight loss and weight management goals.

Fitness Evaluation (Personal Trainer)

ProPartners has always maintained a staff of Certified Fitness Trainer(s).  Our Personal Trainers are available for one-on-one training sessions or couples' sessions at ProPartners offices.  They are experienced in developing personalized exercise programs balanced in cardiovascular and resistance (weight) training and are primarily responsible for the education and accountability of participants in Pro-Fit 60, our 60-day structured weight loss program.

Pro-Fit 60

Feel better in two weeks.  Look better in two months.

Pro-Fit 60 is a sixty-day education and accountability program that will help you get in shape and lose weight quickly.  Developed by the physicians, dietitians, and fitness trainers at ProPartners, the program starts by measuring your metabolism to determine your optimal nutritional plan and target exercise heart rate.  Personal training sessions and weekly one-on-one consultations with your certified fitness trainer will keep you on track and effectively insure your success.

Pro-Fit 60 has helped hundreds of patients to lose weight and get in shape since 2002.  We've got plenty of those success stories you see on TV.  Some have lost 50 pounds and 10 inches around their waist in just 60 days on Pro-Fit 60.  Others have gone on to lose far more than that!  But, Pro-Fit 60 isn't one of those infomercial gimmicks.  The physician-supervised program sets a healthier goal of losing two pounds per week and three inches around your waist over the sixty-day program.  This happens to be the average results from everyone who has ever enrolled in Pro-Fit 60!

Metabolic Testing

Metabolic rate, or metabolism, is the rate at which the body expends energy. This is also referred to as the "caloric burn rate" and is directly related to how much oxygen you consume. Knowing metabolic rate is vital for efficient weight loss as well as weight maintenance.

At ProPartners, metabolic testing is performed using the same equipment used by U.S. Olympic teams to measure oxygen consumption at rest and with exercise. Metabolic rate is measured at rest (to determine how many calories you burn at rest in a 24 hour period) and with exercise (to determine how many calories you burn per hour at various heart rates when you exercise). In addition, the heart rate at which you start to transition from strictly aerobic metabolism to anaerobic metabolism is recorded.

This data is then used by our staff to formulate your dietary plan (target calories) and exercise plans (target heart rate) so you can efficiently reach your fitness and weight loss goals.

A thirty minute consultation with one of our certified fitness trainers is included with each metabolic testing session.  This consultation is intended to help each you to develop a detailed nutritional and exercise plan.

Body Composition

Accurate information about body composition is crucial in establishing realistic weight management goals and determining overall levels of fitness.

Body composition testing is performed at ProPartners by qualified medical and fitness staff using bio-impedance technology plus calipers. This is the fitness club standard for body composition analysis because of its accuracy, simplicity and value in tracking trends in body fat loss.

The test is completely painless and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
