Lincoln Andreasen, DO

Dr. Andreasen joined ProPartners Healthcare in September, 2023. He grew up in Central Illinois, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University, and graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in 2015. He commissioned into the United States Air Force and completed a Family Medicine residency with the joint University of Nebraska Medical Center-Offutt Air Force Base program in Omaha in 2018.

Dr. Andreasen is a two-time research presenter at the Uniformed Service Academy of Family Medicine annual conferences and is board certified in Family Medicine. He spent the first five years after residency practicing broad spectrum, predominantly outpatient family medicine while stationed at Air Force bases in Korea and Okinawa. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and has a special interest in preventative health.

Apart from his day job, Dr. Andreasen’s extracurricular pursuits include playing piano, hiking/camping, reading narrative history non-fiction books, and watching cerebral (and non-cerebral) Sci-fi movies. In another life, he would have been an entomologist. Or a sports journalist. But his true focus outside of medicine is working to raise three children with his wife, Tracey.

Troy A. Burns, M.D. is the Founder and Medical Director of ProPartners Healthcare.  He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City the following year.  Since 1987, Dr. Burns has specialized in preventive medicine, corporate medicine, men's health, and urgent care and is a pioneer in the Direct Primary Care medical practice model.

In 1990 Dr. Burns established his first medical practice, The Diagnostic Center for Men which became a network of 36 medical practices in 23 states.  In 2001 ProPartners Healthcare was formed as a primary care practice for men. In 2013 the practice broadened into family practice and become one of the first fifty Direct Primary Care (DPC) practices in the nation.  

Dr. Burns serves on the Steering Committee of the Direct Primary Care Coalition, a national advocacy group that represents physicians, healthcare associations and employers in supporting the advancement of policies that bring patients and physicians together to help promote better primary care. He is also a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Society and is licensed to practice medicine in Kansas and Missouri.


C.R. "SONNY" HOLBROOK, III, M.D.

Dr. Holbrook joined ProPartners Healthcare in April  of 2005. He grew up in Galveston, Texas, attended Texas A & M University, and is a 1982 graduate of The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. 

He completed an Internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas and an Emergency Medicine Residency at Texas Tech Regional Academic Health Center in El Paso, Texas. 

He has been Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and practiced Emergency Medicine for the first 20 years of his career. He was a member of the Emergency Department/Trauma Center staff at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City from 1989-2004.

Dr Holbrook’s focus is now on Men’s Health. 


ANGELA J. PRATO, M.D.

Angela Prato, M.D. joined ProPartners Healthcare in 2018. Dr. Prato spent her formative years in Emporia, Kansas, and was active in 4-H. She attended the University of Oklahoma for undergraduate studies and attained a Bachelor's of Science in Zoology-Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in History of Science. 

Dr. Prato graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2015 and completed a Family Medicine residency in Grand Junction, Colorado in July 2018. 

She is board certified in Family Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and has a special interest in women's health and preventative medicine.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Prato enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim, and their adorable 4 year-old daughter. She is very excited to be back in the Kansas City metro area and to be part of a practice that prioritizes providing optimal care for patients through the Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice model.
